Best Books on the Greek Mythology

Lately, I’ve been spending time with the gods.

And these books served as the source of inspiration and knowledge.

Of all the myth collections I’ve picked up, Edith Hamilton’s Mythology is the one that feels like home. It’s not just the stories—it’s how she tells them. Clear, elegant, and full of quiet awe. In a concise yet dense with content form, she takes you on an adventure and a magic journey with each story.

I’ve also been dipping into The Greek Myths by Robert Graves. This one is for an in-depth academic style exploration, offering multiple versions, research, notes and sources. Graves did have grit!

A good concise commentary also can be found in the Myths and Legends of Greece and Rome by F.M. Berens. But Hamilton is the one I recommend without reservation!
